About Lisa

A rich academic background honed my writing skills and fostered my perspectives on health and medicine. I graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College with a dual major in mathematics and history, then received my PhD in research psychology from McGill University. My math background, including a deep dive into statistics during my PhD training, continues to serve me well in presenting complex data sets in publications.

During five years as a college professor, I taught the course on writing a literature review and developed healthcare-focused course offerings including Health Psychology and Caregiving Relationships.

My work in medical writing began in 2006–2010 in promotional med ed and continuing medical education. From 2010–2017 I worked in publications at Envision Pharma Group and Springer Healthcare. I managed many publication plans on behalf of these agencies, oversaw the development of manuscripts and congress activities, and led strategic publication planning initiatives for multiple clients. I have been consulting full-time since 2017.

I am a Certified Medical Publication Professional; a past committee chair, workshop leader, and active member of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals; and a member of the American Medical Writers Association. As a volunteer, I peer review submissions to a top orthopedics journal, Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, and I was recognized as a Top Reviewer in 2021 and 2023.

When I'm not at my desk, my husband and I enjoy skiing, cycling, hiking, camping, and visiting our adult kids all over the country.

With a broad background in science and health as well as advanced medical writing skills, I consistently deliver top quality, strategically aligned content for my clients.
